Clayton’s Auto Repair & Service started in a small location in South Corvallis. Clayton put himself through the LBCC Auto Program while working days to provide for his family. The business was founded on the ideal of trust and honesty. Throughout the years the business grew and moved to the present location. Clayton believed in the education of his technicians, along with the proper equipment, as a way to bring the best service to his customers. Although Clayton is retired, the company was sold to a long term employee, and his philosophies still resound through the business today.

 

Meet the Business Owner: Bob D.

I start­ed at Clayton’s fresh out of tech­ni­cal school in 1993. In many ways Clayton was much more than an em­ploy­er, more of a men­tor and friend. Along the way he taught me not only how to repair ve­hi­cles, but that being a pro­fes­sion­al is more about hon­es­ty and trust, coup­led with a com­mit­ment to being the best that you can be by con­stant­ly train­ing and grow­ing to bring the best to your com­pany. Now as the owner I try to in­still his teach­ings to all my co­work­ers so that we can pro­vide a com­plete ex­per­i­ence when you vi­sit our small but hum­ble es­tab­lish­ment.

 

Meet Our Employees

Randy Broderick is a Cer­ti­fied Mas­ter Auto­mo­bile Tech­ni­cian, with L1 Ad­vanced Driva­bil­ity Certi­fi­ca­tion.  He has been a pro­fes­sional tech­ni­cian for six­teen years, and has worked for Clayton’s Auto Repair & Service since 2008.  He enjoys working at Clayton’s be­cause of Bob’s de­di­ca­tion to pro­vi­ding his tech­ni­cians with cur­rent train­ing and up to date equip­ment, so they can work on the la­test ve­hi­cles in an ever chang­ing in­dus­try.  His hob­bies and in­ter­ests include mu­sic, back­pack­ing, kay­ak­ing, bi­cyc­ling, and play­ing in the dirt with his Jeep.

 

Automotive technician Jason Knapp holds an As­so­ci­ates' De­gree in Ap­plied Science of Auto­mo­tive Tech­no­logy, and has years of af­ter­mar­ket train­ing. His off-time is spent with his wife and four kids, en­joy­ing R/C cars, rid­ing dirt bikes, camp­ing and relax­ing.

 

Bryan Burian is our Ser­vice Ad­vi­sor. He at­ten­ded Linn Ben­ton Com­mu­nity Col­lege in Auto­mo­tive Tech­no­logy, and has worked in the field for seven years. Bryan's ex­peri­ence as a tec­hni­cian helps him ex­plain re­pairs and ser­vi­ces to our cus­to­mers, and also gives him first-hand ex­peri­ence with many au­to­mo­tive con­cerns. Bryan enjoys spend­ing time with his two boys and fi­ancé. His ac­ti­vi­ties and hob­bies in­clude build­ing high-per­for­mance ve­hi­cles, playing with R/C cars and going camp­ing all over Oregon.

 

Michelle Bales has worked as Ser­vice As­sis­tant at Clayton's since 2004. Com­mu­nity ser­vice has always been a pas­sion of hers; this year she's work­ing with Vina Moses to help pro­vide kids with school clothes and sup­plies, and will be host­ing our 3rd an­nual Toy Drive this win­ter. Michelle also en­joys par­ti­ci­pa­ting in local food drives bene­fit­ing Linn and Ben­ton Count­ies. When she isn't work­ing, she finds pure joy in spend­ing time with her son and fam­ily. Her hob­bies in­clude gar­den­ing, hik­ing, pho­to­gra­phy, writing and research­ing fam­ily his­tory.
